Charlie and Brooke came over to the studio a while ago and we had a great portrait session. They were a really nice couple of kids – that cheeky grin never left Charlie’s face and Brooke definitely loves her big brother! I processed the images in a variety of styles, some colour, some black and white and some with a vintage twist. Here are a few of my favourite shots from the session.
Thought I’d post some pictures from another Autumnal lifestlye shoot I did with Holly and Edward at Bacton woods near North Walsham. The weather was superb – warm Autumnal sunshine and lots of crisp leaves for the kids to throw around. Photoshoots are so much better when children are relaxed and there’s no better way of achieving this than to just let them play and be themselves (although a bit of encouragement to chuck leaves over your big brother always helps!)
Harrison and younger brother Max paid a visit to the studio for some family photographs a while back and we got some lovely relaxed images of them both. I always try and get parents to bring something that might distract the children from the camera as it often produces far more relaxed and natural images. Here is a prime case in point – a few Lego figures did the job perfectly (although there was still time for some larking around as well :@).
Autumn is such a great time for photographs with some beautiful colours, soft light and leaves on the ground. A few weeks ago I headed off to the woods for a family shoot. We arrived fairly early in the morning to get the best light and had the place pretty much to ourselves apart from a few dog walkers. Here are a few favourites from the session
Kate and Matt were clients of mine several years ago when I photographed their wedding. They recently came back to the studio with their lovely new addition Honor for some baby photographs. Honor was perfectly behaved and really seemed to enjoy the experience (although she seemed more keen to get pictures of bunny than herself!).
Hello and welcome to my children’s and family photography blog. Alongside my regular wedding work I’ve been photographing children’s studio and lifestyle photography in the Norwich area for many years but have only just got round to setting up this blog to showcase some of my work (bad me!). Over the coming weeks and months I’ll add more shoots taken both in my studio just outside Wroxham and also on location.
