Norfolk Lifestyle Photography
As usual I’ve slipped well behind on the blogging front – I’ve just noticed that this shoot has lots of nice daffodils in it which must mean it was about this time last year!
Recently I’ve been doing a lot more commercial work recently, mainly shooting films for various corporate and music artist clients (the results can be seen here if anyone’s interested … www.dynamicdogproductions.co.uk) but it’s always nice to come back to basics and focus on family. The vast majority of my lifestyle and portrait clients are families with young children and getting good photos of them whilst they’re young is so important as they grow up so fast! (my own children are now 15 & 13 and it only seems like yesterday that they were toddling around getting into mischief).
Anyway on to today’s blog post with the Richardson family. We all headed off just round the corner from the studio to Hoveton Hall Gardens where I’ve been granted exclusive access to photograph lifestyle shoots. The gardens are immaculately maintained and have a nice mix of the natural/rustic and the formal. There is also a large lake and numerous streams all of which make for some wonderful backdrops and some great light whatever the weather or season. Because it’s not open to the public, the gardens are completely private and a perfect place to bring families where the kids can still run around and enjoy themselves (essential for nice natural photos).
Someone enjoyed the flowers – they tasted great!
Bamboo always makes for a great backdrop, whatever the season
